This wine has brilliant acidity, kalamata-salinity, a fair bit of rich texture that make this an ideal cocktail hour wine. Take it to river, the beach, your cute neighbor’s pool! On the nose it has peach-o’s, white raspberry, and anisette characters that remind you of that summer on the coast you can’t quite forget. The slightest frizzante encourages you to go for another glass until you wonder where the bottle has gone. Serve chilled or with a single large ice cube.

For my more technically minded friends:

This vibrant vin rosé was harvested on September 27, 2024 at 22.8°Brix, crafted from approximately one-third Oak Knoll Cabernet Franc and two-thirds Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. The gentlest possible saignée method was used, yielding a stunning salmon-hued juice that was transferred directly to stainless steel tank. Fermented to complete dryness, the wine was moved on October 10th into a blend of 42% very old French oak and 58% stainless steel, where it rested on its lees for 11 months before bottling. The finished wine is bone dry, with a pH of 3.1 and a titratable acidity of 7.5 g/L.

Cheers!
