The 2023 Syrah was harvested on October 21st at 22.4 Brix, just under 2 tons from the east face of Sonoma Mountain. Grown in Spreckels soil, these 20+ year-old vines sit just above a horse ranch, overlooking a scenic east-facing vista. One quarter of the fruit was fermented 100% whole cluster and kept separate, while the remaining three-quarters underwent fermentation with one-third whole cluster—both native. The wine was barreled down to neutral French oak for 18 months. A total of 124 cases were produced.
